Anti-Ragging Week from 12.08.2024 to 18.08.2024
The Department of Botany, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) observed Anti-Ragging Week from 12.08.2024 to 18.08.2024, by organizing various activities to educate Botany Sem I students about the harmful effects of ragging.
On 12.08.2024, students were shown short films highlighting the importance of reporting ragging incidents to the college’s Anti-Ragging Committee rather than enduring them silently.
To further emphasize the gravity of ragging, all Botany Sem I students were required to sign an Anti-Ragging Affidavit on 13.08.2024, pledging their commitment to a ragging-free environment and support for their juniors.
The week culminated in a Slogan Writing and Poster Making Competition on the theme “Say No to Ragging” held on 16.08.2024. 11 groups of first-semester Botany students participated, creating 6 posters and 5 slogans. The entries were evaluated by Dr. Pinky Prasad, Head of the Department, and Dr. Urvashi Sinha and Dr. Anjana Verma, Assistant Professors of Botany.
