Botany – Alumni Meet on October 17, 2024
The Department of Botany, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) hosted a memorable Alumni Meet on October 17, 2024, at 2:30 PM in Room No. 306. This remarkable event aimed to reconnect with their alumni to celebrate their achievements and discuss potential collaborations to enhance the department’s initiative.
The program commenced with a graceful prayer dance performed by the third-semester students, setting a serene and spiritual tone for the gathering. Dr. Pinky Prasad, Head of the Department of Botany, delivered a warm welcome address, expressing her delight in welcoming back the alumni. A captivating short video showcasing the department’s profile followed, highlighting its achievements, research endeavours, and the vibrant academic environment.
To infuse a touch of fun and engagement, interactive games were organized for the alumni, sparking laughter and nostalgia. The alumni shared their personal experiences and career journeys, offering valuable insights to the current students. The event further enlivened with a Bollywood dance performance by the first-semester students, showcasing their talent and enthusiasm.
Dr. Urvashi Sinha and Dr. Anjana Verma, Assistant Professors of Botany department, being the alumni, were felicitated as a token of appreciation for their contributions to the department. The program was seamlessly moderated by Asra and Nandini from the third semester, ensuring a smooth flow of events. Priya from the third semester delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the participants and organizers.
The fifth-semester students elegantly embellished the venue, creating a visually appealing and welcoming atmosphere. The entire event was meticulously supervised by Dr. Hena Naz, Assistant Professor, department of Botany, ensuring its success and smooth execution.
