Fresher’s Day program on 31st of July 2024
The Department of Microbiology, Patna Women’s College, Autonomous organized a Fresher’s Day program on 31st of July 2024 to welcome the new batch of undergraduate students.
The invited guests were Sister M. Nelsa A.C, Assistant Professor, Department of English and Ms. Puja Kumari, Cultural Coordinator and Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Patna Women’s College.
The program began by invoking God’s blessings through a prayer dance. Thereafter, Dr. Jaya Philip, Head, Department of Microbiology delivered the Welcome address encouraging the students to excel both in curricular and extracurricular activities. Plant saplings were also presented as a token of gratitude to the guests. Further, the students presented an electrifying Bhangra performance diving the audience into the hearts of Punjab. A self written poem ‘Ek Chidiya’ on a positive mindset was beautifully recited by Kumari Anshu. Further the semi-classical dancers took up the stage and added an essence of tranquillity to the event. The very talented classical dancers represented the beauty of the Indian culture and left the entire room in awe with their elegance.
Sister M. Nelsa A.C and Ms. Puja Kumari shared their feelings.Their pearls of wisdom and admiration inspired and motivated young minds. All the faculty members and the support staff witnessed the event and admired the hard work of the students.
Miss Aishwarya Ambrish of UG Semester 1 was crowned Miss Fresher’s, department of Microbiology, 2024.
Each set of performances was introduced by the well-coordinated anchors Suchika and Riddhi.The vote of thanks was delivered by Saema Faridi.
This Wednesday of the freshers ended remarkably on a beautiful note teaching them the various lessons for life and making them fully prepared to start their journey in Patna Women’s College.
