A Fresher’s Day Programme was organized in the Department of Political Science by the students of BA Semester 1 and MA Semester 1 on 31st July 2024 in B. J. Sullivan Hall at 11:30 am. The programme reflected the rich history and legacy of Bihar through its theme-“Aapan Bihar”.It comprised of various performances embracing Bihar’s culture and identity. The programme consisted of Welcome Song, Self-composed poem and a Group Song (Medley) followed by a thematic dance representing various folklore and festive songs like Sohar, Jijhiya and Kajri of Bihar state.The Fresher’s Day Programme was judged by Cultural Coordinators of Patna Women’s College – Ms. Enakshi De Biswas and Ms. Puja Kumari. The Title of “Ms Fresher’s” was accorded to Soumya Suchi of BA semester 1.
