Freshers’ Day Programme 31 July, 2024.

Department of English, Patna Women’s College organised the Freshers’ Day Programme “Freshers’ Fiesta” for the batches U.G (2024-28) and P.G.(2024-26) on 31 July, 2024.
The members of the Cultural committee, Dr Jaya Philip, Head, Department of Microbiology and Dr Sumeet Ranjan, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology were the guests.
The programme started with watering a plant sapling followed by felicitation of the guests. The programme started with a prayer dance to invoke the divine presence of God. It was followed by a group song Besabriyan. The next event was a narrative poem depicting the journey of a student’s life in college. It was followed by a group dance. Then the students presented a skit, based on Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain’s novella “Sultana’s Dream”. The next item “English Vinglish” highlighted the quirky English language. The programme ended with a medley of Baul song and Rabindra Sangeet. The programme was entertaining as well as meaningful. The guests were impressed by the performances. Bhawna Anand of B A semester 1 was crowned Ms. Fresher.
