Guest Lecture on Machine Learning
Department Of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
Topic: “Getting started with Python: Build your First Model”
Level: College Level
Participants: 90 Students (AIML, DSA and BCA)
Resource Person: Dr. Atif Faridi, AI&ML Expert, Care Fusion Development Pvt. Ltd.
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning launched its much-anticipated Lecture Series today, featuring Dr. Atif Faridi, an AI&ML expert from Care Fusion Development Pvt. Ltd., as the Guest speaker. The topic for the First day of Series, “Getting Started with Machine Learning: Building Your First Model,” 31.08.2024 at 12:30 P.M provided attendees with a dynamic introduction to the world of machine learning.
The Session begins with prayer song followed by Watering the Plant symbolizing embracing the plant’s life with ours. It also resonates the growth of plants with the growth of happiness and well-being.
Ms. Poonam Abraham Lakra, Head, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning hosted the events. Dr. Priyadarshini, Head, Department of Data Science welcomed the Guest with the sapling.
Dr. Faridi began the session with a concise overview of machine learning, setting the stage for the day’s focus on Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs). He used the classic Iris flower dataset to demonstrate the creation of a basic machine learning model, guiding participants through the process of building and evaluating an ANN.
The interactive session was highlighted by a lively Q&A, where students eagerly engaged with Dr. Faridi, seeking insights into practical applications and overcoming common challenges in machine learning.
The lecture not only laid a solid foundation for beginners but also sparked curiosity and excitement for the upcoming sessions in the series. The Session ended by proposing the vote of thanks by Ms. Hera Shaheen, Assistant Professor, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The participants consist of the Semester I students of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (Major/Minor), Data Science and Analytics (Major/Minor), and BCA.
