The Inauguration Ceremony of the three new courses – 4-year B.Sc Programme in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, 4 year B.Sc programme in Data Science & Analytics and 4-year B.A. programme in Fashion Designing was held on 12th July 2024. The ceremony was preceded by Prof. Dr. Jessy Modi, who was the Chief Guest. The ceremony started with the lamp lighting. Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College welcomed and honored the Chief Guest with a shawl and a sapling. She addresses the gathering and welcomes all the students of the three new departments. In the Welcome address, she highlighted the importance of new technology and promoting excellence in education. The event was followed by the address of Dr. Bhawna Sinha, Dean, Information Technology & System who envisages the technology need and upgrading the academic with them. Later, Ms. Poonam Abraham Lakra, Head, Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning briefed about the academic programme and highlighted the objectives & structure of the programme. She also mentioned the need of Industry 4.0 & remarkable future for the student. Dr. Shemushi Ityalam Madhu, head, Department of Fashion Designing, shared the objectives of the New Programme. She emphasized the importance of Fashion Designing course. She highlighted the roadmap of Fashion Designing for the students and also had an interactive session with the chief guest as one student representative from each new programme expressed their aim & outcomes from this new programme. The compere of the Inaugural ceremony was done by Ms. Poonam Abraham Lakra, Head, Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The event was ended by a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Priyadarshini, Head, Department of Data Science & Analytics. As a token, students were distributed a bookmark & sweets.
