Inauguration of Dharohar – The Heritage Club
Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) Patna University organised a guest lecture on the occasion of inauguration of the Heritage Club, on 28th October, 2024, in the Carmel Hall.
Dr. Goutami Bhattacharya, who did her M. A. in ancient Indian History and Archaeology from Lucknow University. Post graduate diploma in archaeology from institute of archaeology and his working in Archaeological Survey of India since 2016, was the guest speaker. Her lecture was on the topic “Archaeology: Explorations and Excavation. Her review about chronology, sites, exploration and excavation were very interesting. The examples of Harappa, Uren, Shinauli, Bhimbetka, etc. were helpful to understand the topic. The session was moderated by Mahrukh Firdaus and a warm welcome was given to the guest with a momento and shawl by Ms. Swati Sinha, Assistant Professor the Department of History and coordinator Heritage Club. The lecture was followed by a questionand answer session which was an incredible opportunity for the students to get their doubts clarified. The Vote of Thanks was given by Prerna and the entire session was a resounding success.
