Industrial Visit to ATARI Patna
An industrial visit was organized by Economics department for final year students to the Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI) Patna, where teachers and students were warmly welcomed by Dr. Anjani Kumar, Director of ATARI, along with other esteemed scientists. The visit began with an insightful lecture on “Growth, Development, and Technology Changes in Indian Agriculture,” delivered by Dr. Rohan Kumar Raman, Senior Scientist in Agricultural Statistics. He highlighted the technological advancements that have shaped Indian agriculture, emphasizing the role of data-driven strategies in enhancing crop yields. Following this, Dr. Naresh Chandra, Principal Scientist in Agricultural Economics, discussed “Food Grain Production,” shedding light on the economic factors influencing agricultural productivity and the challenges faced by Indian farmers. The visit provided valuable knowledge to the students, deepening their understanding of the dynamic field of agriculture in India.
