Powerpoint Presentation Competition 2024

The Department of Biotechnology in collaboration with Vigyan Club at Patna Women’s College organized “Powerpoint Presentation Competition” on the theme “Role of Science in Viksit Bharat” on 16th December 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM in Room no. 4.11 for the M.Sc. Biotechnology Semester IV students. The judges for the event were Dr. Urvashi Sinha (Assistant Professor, Department of Botany) and Rabindra Nath Roy Majumdar (Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry). The welcome address was given by Jaisy Patel and Akanksha, students of Semester IV of the Department of Biotechnology.
Dr. Arti Kumari (Head of the Department), and all other faculties of the department namely Dr. Vivek Raj, Dr. Alok Ranjan, Dr. Premlata Kumari, along with the students of Semester I and IV were present during the event. Mr. Ashish non-teaching staff of the department was also present during the event.
The students were divided into 10 groups, with each group consisting of 2 members. The session was insightful and emphasized the role of science in shaping the developed India by 2047. Powerpoint presentations were made on various topics like Role of Science in Healthcare, Agriculture and food security, Personalized Medicine, Bioinformatics, Pharmaceuticals Science, Genetically Modified Organism, Renewable Energy and Sustainability, Technology in Education and Skill development, Environmental science, Role of Science in driving India’s Progress in Viksit Bharat. First Position was obtained by Group J- Jaisy Patel and Supriya. Second Position was obtained by Groups A- Farheen Firdaus, Sharia Haider and Group I- Wajiha Saadi, Annu Kumari and Third Position was jointly secured by Group B- Muneera Alam, Benazir Fatima and Group E- Akanksha and Sakshi Saket. The program was planned and managed by Dr. Premlata Kumari (Assistant professor, Department of Biotechnology). At last the vote of thanks was given by Sakshi Saket, student of Department of Biotechnology of Semester IV.
Overall, the event was a success and provided a platform for engaging discussions among students and faculty.
