The Freshers’ Day 2024
The Freshers’ Day 2024 was celebrated with great enthusiasm by both the Undergraduate (2024-28) and Postgraduate (2024-26) Departments of Physics on 29th July 2024 in the BSc Physics Lab at 12:15 pm. The event commenced with a beautiful Hindi poem and a warm welcome by the UG semester-1 anchors namely Taruna Tejaswini and Elis Bara . The guest of the event were Dr. Jaya Philip, Head, Department of Microbiology and Mr. Adweetiya Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science. The event kicked off with a very beautiful message which was addressed by Dr. Kavita Verma, Head, Department of Physics which resonated emotionally in the hearts of the students and espeacially the poem which motivated to never back off even in our greatest fall . Followed by the address to guests was a welcome song by the UG and PG students which extended a warm welcome to all our new students and guests. There was also a soulful prayer dance to seek unity, strength and God’s blessings. It was an opportunity for each individual to showcase their unique abilities and for the judges to discover new and emerging talents. All gave the Testament of their incredible skills and creativity. Specially the poem Building Brighter Future by Sister Miselta, which was an exceptional piece which left the judges in awe. Also the PG students with their passion and zeal showed their talents with their engaging songs, and as we say, that the best is saved for the last, the final performance by the UG students was expectacular and unforgettable .
The bollywood dance was an energetic display of creativity, Rhythm and culture. The excitement for the event was even more palpable due to the highly anticipated Miss Fresher’s Segment, this special highlight added an extra layer of enthusiasm and anticipation making the day even more memorable for everyone. Choosing Miss Freshers was not an easy task for the judges. The exceptional efforts made by the girls made the evaluation tough and fierce. It was both challenging and exciting. Aashi Sinha (UG Sem 1) was chosen for Miss Fresher 2024, who with her grace, charisma and talent ,truly stood out making her a deserving winner. The event was concluded by the Vote of Thanks which was given by Akanksha Shandilya, where the sincere gratitude were expressed Specially to the seniors who even on their busy schedule helped us in the forthcoming.
The event was a successful one , After the event, students were filled with joy and satisfaction. The enthusiasm and positive energy were evident as they shared their experiences and reflections. The event had clearly left a lasting impression, leaving everyone happy and excited about the memories created leading them to a embark on this new journey together.
