TWO DAY NATIONAL WEBINAR on SAMPLING TECHNIQUES AND EXPERIMENTAL DESIGNS
Patna Women’s College, in collaboration with Vimala College, Thrissur, successfully organized a prestigious two-day national webinar on “Sampling Techniques and Experimental Designs”. This scholarly event served as a dynamic platform for statisticians, researchers, and students to delve into the intricate world of statistical methodologies, fostering intellectual growth and academic collaboration between two renowned institutions.
The webinar commenced on 2nd December 2024 & 3rd December 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM via the Google Meet platform, under the esteemed patronage of Dr. Sr. M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College and Dr. Sr. Beena Jose, Principal, Vimala College, Thrissur. The program was thoughtfully convened by Ms. Moon, Head, Department of Statistics, Patna Women’s College and Dr. Jismi Mathew, Head, Department of Statistics, Vimala College, Thrissur, with Dr. Divya P.R. serving as the Organizing Secretary, ensuring the seamless execution of the event.
The first session featured Shri Viswas V. Nadh, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Statistics, Sree Kerala Varma College, Thrissur, who spoke on “Fundamentals of Designing a Statistical Survey with Special Focus on Sample Surveys and Design of Experiments.”
Shri Nadh provided a detailed overview of the principles underlying statistical surveys and experimental designs, highlighting their theoretical and practical aspects with clarity and precision.
The second session wa6s conducted by Dr. Priyanka Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Statistics, University of Allahabad, who delivered an insightful lecture on “Sampling Methodologies and Its Applications.” Her session offered participants a deep understanding of modern sampling techniques and their application across various disciplines, inspiring rich discussions and interactive engagement among attendees.
This webinar witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, researchers, and students from diverse academic institutions nationwide. The sessions were lauded for their academic rigor and relevance, contributing to the participants’ broader understanding of statistical concepts and their real-world significance.
