Universal Health Coverage Day

Universal Health Coverage Day

December 12, 2023 @ 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm Asia/Kolkata Timezone

On the occasion of Universal Health Coverage Day, a guest lecture was organised by Sehat Kendra, Patna Women’s College.
In the context of today’s heated topic of
Cyber crime, a session on cyber awareness and cyber wellness was organised by National service scheme (NSS), Patna Women’s College.
The resource persons for the day were Dr. Nilanshu Kumar, State Head Population Foundation of India and Bihar. And Mrs. Shilpi, Specialist Community Action, Population Foundation of India. They both gave their insights to the students on cyber bullying, cyber security and the Significance of Universal Health Coverage.
The institution welcomed them wholeheartedly. The event was organised under the guidance of NSS programme officers Dr. Amrita Assistant Professor, Department of Physics and Dr. Shahla Rehana, Associate Professor, Department of English.
Both acquainted us with a lot of relevant information related to internet and its scams. They talked about the pros and cons of being hugely active on social media platforms. They us showed videos related to trapping innocent minds . These platforms undoubtedly connect people from farthest places but it is also responsible for the disconnect felt among the members of the same family. The advent of technology is ofcourse serving us with the best but it’s upon us to mark our limits and deal with the do’s and don’ts.
They directed us about taking steps against any harassment practiced in such social media platforms. They gave us ways to come out of such situations and penalize the criminal with the best punishment they deserve. Man created the technology not the machines. So the utmost control of the devices and the effects they create can be steered by us.
At the end the resource persons were thanked for sharing important helpline numbers with the participants.
