Admission 2026

Applications are invited for admission to the various Programmes being run at Patna Women’s College, Patna for the academic year 2026–2027. Application forms for 2026–2027 will be available on the College website (www.patnawomenscollege.in) from 01.02.2026 to 15.03.2026. Forms to be filled in Online. Appearing candidates of +2/Intermediate or Equivalent Examination also will be eligible for the Entrance

Test (for UG Programmes) and Appearing candidates of UG Programmes may also be eligible for Admission to PG Programmes/ PG Diploma Programmes.

Admission will be done strictly on the basis of the Merit list prepared after the Entrance Test/Interview-2026 for the respective Programmes of study.

Compartment/failed candidates will not be considered even if they have qualified in the Entrance Test 2026 (Written +Viva-voce ).

The applicants have to Upload Xerox copies of qualifying examination Admit Card/Marksheet of 11th Standard (for Appearing Candidates) / Marksheet (for Pass-out Candidates) and Caste Certificate (if applicable) issued by the C.O./S.D.O./D.M./Baptism Certificate (if applicable).

Application Form:

• All forms (Except M.A. Home Science) : Rs. 1,500/-
• M.A. (Home Science) : Rs. 800/-

Entrance Test Pattern :

• The test will be objective type with the use of Blue / Black pen and OMR sheet for B.A./B.Sc.
• The pattern of the entrance test will be as follows :-
  • Full marks : 70
  • (Duration of Exam. : 1 hours
  • No. of objective questions : 70 each carrying one mark, no negative marking

The details of objective questions will be

(a) For B.Sc.

• General Knowledge and Aptitude Test – 10 marks
• Physics & Chemistry – 40 marks
• Biology or Mathematics & Statistics (make your choice) – 20 marks

(b) For B.A.

• General Knowledge and Aptitude Test – 25 marks
• Questions related with all major
• subjects of Humanities and Social Sciences – 45 marks

KEY INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Candidates are requested to take their admission on the specified date. If any reason a candidate fails to take admission on the given date her seat remains cancelled and no claim will be entertained thereafter.
2. Students with ‘Compartment/Pending Result’ are not eligible for admission.
3. Kindly come with you parents [one of the parents (preferably both) must accompany the candidate].
4. Candidate must bring 4 Photographs, Original Mark-sheet (+2/12th), SLC, CLC, Character
Certificate, Caste Certificate (only for reserved category candidates), Baptism Certificate (only for Christian Candidates), Migration Certificate (except BSEB) (plus one set of Xerox Copy)/ Downloaded Application Form-2026 (for UG).
5. Candidate must bring 4 Photographs, Original Mark-sheet of Graduation, CLC, DLC, Character Certificate, Caste Certificate (only for reserved category candidates), Baptism Certificate (only for Christian Candidates), Migration Certificate (except PU) (plus one set of Xerox Copy)/Downloaded Application Form-2026 (for PG/PG Diplomas).
6. If you do not have the above, you need to fill the ‘Provisional Admission/Undertaking’ proforma during the admission (proforma available on College Admission Counter).
7. College Fee for 1st Semester to be paid by Digital mode only, through the College Website i.e. www.patnawomenscollege.in (no other payment modes are available).
8. The dates for admissions to various programmes are subject to change in case of any unforeseen situations.
9. Only those who are interested to complete the programmes are encouraged to apply. Those who wish to leave the programme should do so before the commencement of Classes otherwise the fees will not be refunded.
