The resource person for the day was Dr. Reena Ranjan Blood Bank Incharge, kurji holy family hospital Patna.
She explained about the benefits of blood donation. Blood donation is beneficial for both donor and receiver.
The donation takes about 15 -20 minutes on average. In a typical blood donation (approximately 470 milliliters) of blood is taken from the donor. This amount is safe for most people, as the body can quickly replenish the lost fluids and red blood cells.
She also encouraged the Nss volunteers to donate blood. After donating blood, most people are eligible to donate again after 3 months. The blood donation camp will be organised by the NSS Unit of the college on 27th September.
Donors will also get the certificate and a donor card .They can use this card to procure blood for their immediate relatives
