Fashion Designing

The department of Fashion Designing organized an online guest lecture on ‘Role of khadi in Fashion Industry’ on 14th January, 2023 by Mr Subhash Kumar, Design expert, Bihar state khadi and Village industries board, Patna.

Students of Fashion Designing Department, Patna Women’s College attended MSME approved Women Entrepreneur’s Co-operative Society (WECS) Expo, Gandhi Maidan, Patna on 5th December, 2022.

Alumni meet-2022 was organized in the Department of Fashion Designing on 21st October, 2022. The event marked the reunion of passed out students of the Fashion Designing department. A cultural programme was put up by the current students comprising of welcome songs and dances. Fun filled games were also conducted for the alumni.

Department of Fashion Designing participated in ‘Bihar Photo Video Expo’, on 15th and 16th October,2022 at Gyan Bhawan, Patna. During this expo fashion show was conducted for students of various colleges. Fashion Designing students of Patna Women’s College participated and got the prize and also certificate of participation.

Mizoram students visited the department of fashion designing on 16th September, 2022. Head of the Department Dr. Shemushi explained about the details of Fashion Designing department and art and craft of Bihar. The team appreciated student’s creativity showcased in the department.

 Fresher’s Day programme

Department of Fashion Designing organized a Fresher’s Day programme for PGDFD students, Batch – 2022-23 on 31st August, 2022. The programme was started with welcome song and Devi stuti dance. The cultural programme included a Ramp Walk based on theme ‘Brides of India’. Dr. Sumeet Ranjan and Ms. Papita Dey Biswas lighted the lamp and inaugurated the event.
