Department of Economics organised Poster making Competition on Earth day .
Department of Economics organised an online guest lecture on “Digital Rupee” which was delivered by theDeputy General Manager ,Ms.Binita Topno on 2nd March,2022.This online guest lecture on Digital Rupee was organised to make the students aware about the Central Bank Digital Currency as proposed in the union budget 2022-23.
National Institute of Securities Market(NISM) an educational initiative of SEBI organised a webinar on Financial Education for Young citizens of our country .Students of Semester VI participated in it.
The training programme comprised of eight comprehensive sessions to be covered in 10 hours The session proved to be very helpful in skill development of the students.
The students participated very actively .The time was from 3:30 pm- 5:30 p.m for a week i.e from 13th Dec. To 17th Dec. 2021 .
At the end they had a quiz competition.A certificate of appreciation was awarded to the institution.
The Department of Economics organised a virtual Parent-Teacher Meet for the students of Semester lll on 27.10.2021 . The parents were enlightened about the importance of their role towards their Ward’s education. They are expected to co-operate with the college and the management in bringing holistic development of their ward. The vision, mission and core values of the college were explained and was given a lot of stress .
The college has certain expectations from the students which they néed to fulfil for which parents support is very necessary. All the faculty members were present and actively involved themselves. A virtual tour of the department too was done.
The Department of Economics Patna Women’s College organized Freshers’ Day for the students of Sem 1 session 2021-2024 on 30th October
The whole programme was well presented based on the theme ‘Women Empowerment’
The students exibited their inate talents through dance, songs ,poems based on Gender sensitisation. There was a lot of cooperation among the students. The class room was well decorated for the function. All the faculty members expressed their views and congratulated the students. Hats off to Sejal (CR)and Sakshi Mishra (VCR) and all the participants .
Department of Economics organized an Online Parent Teacher Meet on 27th September ,2021 at 10:00 am. The head of Department ,Dr.Sr.M.Dipasha,A.C. discussed the vision, mission and core values of the college, the role of parents and the expectation from students. There was also an interactive session with the parents.

Objective :To create awareness among the people of all the age group by discussing the concern and self initiated remedies related to the virus.
2.The department of economics organized a guest lecture on ” Research Methodology/ dissertation” for the students of semester VI in Feburary 2021.
3.The Department also organised a non-academic activity :Distribution of Hygiene Kits to ICWA girls on 26th Feb. 2021.
4.Poster Making competition conducted in March 2021 on the topic “Struggles of women in challenges from patriarchy”.
5.The Department of Economics celebrated World Environment Day via virtual platform of zoom on 4th june through plantation drive and poster making.
Economics deptt organised an Inter Departmental quiz competition today 31st August.

About the Course
In pursuance of the policy of the University Grants Commission the Add- on- course in Public Relations run by the Department of Economics, Patna Womens College, was designed to provide a basic idea of the concepts and principles of PR Industry. The curriculum includes the evolution and need of PR as a management tool. This course will help develop skills in strategic communication, crisis management, shaping public opinion, managing media relations and aligning communication strategies with an organization’s goals.

Upon completion of the programme, students will be able to-

Promote inter disciplinary approaches.
