The Department of Data Science and Analytics at Patna Women’s College successfully conducted an Interactive Industry Talk on 17th April 2025. The session featured
Ms. Vishakha Verma, a distinguished Data Scientist, Microsoft Certified Cloud Practitioner based in Birmingham, UK.
The talk started with the welcome address by Dr. Priyadarshini, Head, Department of Data Science and Analytics. The talk, entitled “Building Skills for Emerging Opportunities in Data Science”, proved to be incredibly insightful and engaging.
Ms. Verma shared her valuable experiences and shed light on the practical aspects of building a career in the field of data science. Her presentation was not only informative but also interactive, keeping the participants actively involved throughout.
She provided a comprehensive roadmap for aspiring data professionals, highlighting the importance of key skills, certifications, and real-world project experience. Ms. Verma emphasized how cloud computing and data analytics are shaping the future and discussed how students can prepare themselves to meet the demands of the evolving tech landscape.
The talk was met with an enthusiastic response from the attendees, who appreciated the clarity and depth of information shared. Participants found her journey inspiring and her advice on navigating the field of data science extremely helpful.
