Patna Women’s College Collaborates with NSE Academy for Certification Course on Stock Market Analysis Patna, 25th February 2025: The Department of Commerce, Patna Women’s College, Autonomous, in collaboration with the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Academy, has launched a Certification Course on Stock Market Analysis. Marking this significant academic initiative, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Patna Women’s College and NSE Academy. To introduce students to the course structure and its benefits, an Orientation Programme was conducted through the online platform Webex. The session commenced with an inaugural address by Dr. Soofia Fatima, Head of the Department of Commerce and Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management. She highlighted the importance of practical learning in stock market studies, emphasizing its role as a career-defining opportunity for students. The first resource person, Mr. Vishwajeet Banick, Manager (Kolkata) at NSE Academy, provided insights into various courses offered by NSE and its partnerships with leading institutions across the country. He explained that the practical orientation of this course would give students an edge in the job market. The session also featured Mr. Karan Joshi, Senior Trainer and Faculty at NSE Academy, Mumbai, who elaborated on technical analysis and risk management. He emphasized that the course would equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to make informed investment decisions. Discussing market trends, he noted that while a bull market presents favorable opportunities, understanding market fluctuations through structured programs like this is essential for navigating a bear market. The interactive session saw enthusiastic participation from students, who shared their feedback and inquired about career opportunities in the financial sector. The session was moderated by Shrishti Tiwari, Premier of Patna Women’s College and a B. Com Semester VI student. Faculty members from the Department of Commerce, along with enrolled students, attended the programme. The Certification Course on Stock Market Analysis aims to provide students with practical exposure to financial markets and enhance their investment and risk management skills, preparing them for diverse career opportunities in the finance sector.
