ECO- FRIENDLY RAKHI MAKING COMPETITION
On 9th August 2024, the Department of Social Work at Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, held an Eco-Friendly Rakhi Making Competition to promote sustainability in cultural practices. Students formed six groups to craft rakhi using environmentally friendly materials, showcasing their creativity and commitment to the theme. The competition was judged by Sr. Geeta, Co-Ordinator , Community College, Mrs. Priyanka, and Mrs. Sushmita from the Community College. Group 2, comprising Rakhi, Preeti, Vishakha, and Anushka, won first prize for their innovative designs. Dr. Mridul Mishra, Head of the Department, thanked the judges, participants, and Sr. Sanjana A.C. for their support and highlighted the department’s ongoing commitment to promoting eco-friendly initiatives. The event not only celebrated Raksha Bandhan but also highlighted the significance of environmental responsibility.
