The Department of Sociology organized Freshers Day Programme for Semester 1 students. The theme was women empowerment. The jury members for the programme were Ms. Puja Kumari, Assistant professor, Department of Commerce and Ms. Samiksha Sinha, Assistant professor, Department of Sociology. The programme started with a prayer Dance followed by a group song, folk dance, poetry on women empowerment and a thematic dance. Dr. Tapashi Bhattacharjee, Head department of Sociology addressed the gathering. Jury members shared their feedback of the programme.
