Guest Lecture by Dr. Shalini Sharma

The Department of Advertising and Marketing Management organized a guest lecture on August 23, 2024, delivered by Dr. Shalini Sharma, Dean, Outreach and Student Welfare (OSW) and Professor at GIMS Greater Noida. The lecture focused on “How to Decide Your Career Path” and explored various decision-making strategies. Dr. Sharma discussed intuitive and rational decision-making with examples from cricket, Bollywood movies, and the Titanic movie, highlighting the hybrid model of combining intuitive and rational approaches. She emphasized the importance of keeping up with trending jobs and continuously growing to sustain success in the competitive world. Dr. Sharma also addressed the significance of personal motto and upskilling as key components of career development, urging students to make informed decisions tailored to their own goals and aspirations. The event was well attended by the students of semester 3 and 5 of the department of Advertising and marketing management, and semester 5th students of BBA and B.COM.
