Guest Lecture on “Concepts of Social Science Research”
The Department of Sociology organized a guest lecture on 06.10.23 at B.J. Sullivan Hall from 11:00 a.m. The topic of the Guest Lecture was “Concepts of Social Science Research”. The Resource person of the lecture was Dr. Anirudh Prasad, founder editor Jharkhand Journal of development and Management Studies. The programme commenced with the welcoming of the resource person by Dr. Tapashi Bhattacharjee Head, Department of Sociology. Dr. Anirudh addressed the arena and explained about the philosophical part of social science research. He explained how to link theory with research. He explained how ontology, epistemology, Methodology and Method are different components of a research. He further explained about the different types of hypotheses and variables. The Guest lecture ended with a question answer round. Total Number of Beneficiaries were 150.
