Guest Lecture on Role of Professionals in Nation Building
Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries and Certified Management Accountants play a pivotal role in the financial landscape, serving as trusted advisors who provide expertise in areas of financial management, compliance, and strategic decision-making. These professionals bring a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards to guide organizations and individuals in optimizing their financial operations. It is important that students too are acquainted with the professional ethics and their role in Nation Building.
In this regard, a guest lecture was organized for the students of semester-I and semester-III of B.Com (Commerce Professional) on 21st August 2024 from 11.00 am to 12.00 pm in Video Conferencing Hall of Patna Women’s College. The resource person was CA Chirantan Bhattacharya, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Patna Branch.
The session started with a welcome address by Dr. Soofia Fatima, Dean and Head, Department of Commerce. CS Shweta Shah, Co-Ordinator, Commerce Professional felicitated CA Chirantan Bhattacharya with a plant sapling. The session was moderated by Kanishka Gupta of semester-III of B.Com (Commerce Professional).
The resource person explained the importance of professionalism and its relevance to the economy. He emphasized on ethics and integrity to be followed by the professionals. The session was interactive and enriching. It was attended by all the teaching staff of the Department of Commerce. A vote of thanks was proposed by Arunima Singh, student of semester-III of B.Com (Commerce Professional).
