International Yoga Day 2025

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, the Department of Philosophy, in collaboration with the Yoga Club, organised a revitalising yoga session in Carmel Hall at Patna Women’s College from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. The theme of this year’s yoga day was “One Earth, One Health”. Recognising the challenges of today’s stressful and exhausting lifestyle, the session focused on enhancing spinal health, lung capacity, and relieving muscle stiffness.

The session was conducted under the guidance and supervision of Honourable Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College. Dr. Keerti Chaudhary, Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy, served as the esteemed resource person, while Yoga Instructor Ms. Meetu Kumari led participants through a series of asanas, including Suryanamaskar, Trikonasana, Tadasana, Katichakrasana, Bhujangasana, and Kandhasana.

The session proved immensely beneficial for teaching staff of various faculties, promoting physical well-being, mental clarity, and overall holistic health.
