MATHS CAMP
Venue: Room 403
Organised by: Department of Economics in collaboration with Department of Mathematics
Conducted by: Ecospectrum
A Mathematics Camp was conducted on 19th July 2025 and 2nd August 2025 by the Department of Economics, in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics. Open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, the camp aimed to deepen students’ understanding of differentiation, a core concept in economics. Two sessions were held as part of the camp. From analyzing marginal cost to observing changes in demand or output, differentiation helps make sense of economic relationships and decisions.
The session was conducted by Dr. Avinash Kumar, who explained the basics of differentiation in a clear, relatable way that encouraged engagement and curiosity. Students participated actively, making the camp a valuable academic experience that helped them gain confidence in applying mathematical thinking within the context of economics.
