To recognise the impact of social media on communication and connection, the Department of Psychology, Patna Women’s College, Autonomous, Patna University observed ‘Social Media Day’ on 3rd July 2025. A guest lecture was organised on the topic ‘Mind on Screen’.
The session started at 12:00 PM in Room no. 1, Main Block. The resource person, Ms. Roma, Head, Department of Mass Communication, Patna Women’s College, Autonomous, Patna University delivered the lecture on ‘Mind on Screen.’ She emphasized on the psychological impact of social media use. After the lecture, few selected videos were played, shot by the students from different departments for ‘Mental Health awareness Video Making Competition’. Thereafter, Ms. Roma announced winners of the competition. The lecture was attended by students of Department of Psychology from UG 1st, 2nd and 3rd, PG 1st and 2nd year, participants of Video Making Competition, and teachers from Department of Psychology. Riya Singh from PG 2nd year moderated the session and Shyeni Sharan from UG 3rd year presented the vote of thanks.
