To observe World Population Day, the Department of Psychology and the Department of Sociology collaboratively organised a speech competition on 12th July’25. The theme was “Exploring gender population dynamics”.

There were a total of 24 participants from UG Semester 5. The judging panel included three esteemed judges- Dr. Mridul Mishra, Head, Department of Social Work, Dr. Tapsi Bhattacharjee, Head, Department of Sociology and Dr. Nupur Sinha, Head, Department of Psychology. The participants delivered speeches that moved the audience to delve into the realm of gender inequality. The first position was secured by Saeeda Zainab (Department of Psychology), the second position was secured to Soni (Department of Sociology) and the third position by Muskaan (Department of Sociology). Komal Kumari and Alisha Verma were given consolation prizes. The judges appreciated the enthusiasm of all the participants. Mantasha (Department of Sociology) and Shikha (Department of Psychology) were the anchors for the day.
