Student Development Programme on “Importance of Digital Skills for Corporate Employability”

The Department of Advertising and Marketing Management organised Student Development Programme on 29th September 2023 in collaboration with IBS Kolkata for all the UG and PGDAMM students. The Guest speaker was Professor Shubhanan Dey, Faculty member- IBS Kolkata. He is an MBA in Retail Management with wide industry exposure in visual merchandising design, display and maintenance of high and store image spoke about the digital and corporate future.
He talked about the 4th Industrial Revolution- technology, the GIG economy and the changes in the marketing environment for today’s students. He emphasized on the students in order to be employable and to be tech savvy, have a dominant net presence and digital skills. They should also be aware about the net etiquettes. He emphasized on the importance of omni channel presence and internet visibility. He also advised the students to upload their C.Vs on the net LinkedIn, to have a better net presence.
