Brief Report –
Staff members and Students of Patna Women’s College family on Sunday, Sept 5, 2021 celebrated the Teachers’ Day virtually with much fervour and love. The programme was premiered on the official Patna Women’s College YouTube channel from 5 pm onwards. Many events were organized to honour the teachers and recognize their contributions to education and development. The programme began with an enthralling prayer dance presented by Kriti Rani. On the occasion, the Principal Dr. Sister M Rashmi A.C., Patna Women’s College addressed and greeted the audience. She expressed her views on the struggles faced by the teachers during the pandemic period and requested the students to fathom and reminisce the contribution of teachers in their lives. She emphasized the importance of teachers and learning, to raise the profile and increase the awareness, understanding of the teaching profession and its importance. Furthermore, an euphonious greeting song was composed and sung by the Student Sisters of Patna Women’s College. Thereafter, a Thematic Dance Drama titled, ‘Gaurav Gaatha’, was presented which manifested the undying contribution of the Sisters and Teachers in the golden Journey of Patna Women’s College since 1940 which left everyone nostalgic. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks. The event was supervised by the Cultural Co-ordinators, Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas and Ms. Samiksha Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Patna Women’s College. Sandhya Kumari and Yashi Raj, Students Council 2021, Patna Women’s College moderated the programme.
