On July 28th 2025, The Department of Physics , Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) , Patna University organised a Departmental Freshers’ Day Event for the 1st Semester UG and PG students. The day began by welcoming Ms. Meenakshi Mishra, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography and Ms. Kirti Rani , Lecturer, Performing Arts followed by welcome address by Dr. Amrita, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics. Firstly, students of UG presented a prayer dance performance to embark the journey filled with divine blessings and start for journey of learning.
Next, the UG choir group welcomed the judges and the audience with their rhythms and voice through welcome song. It was fascinating to witness three girls who expressed their feelings in jingles of words and gave a brilliant self-composed poetry performance. PG group onset this beginning with their melodious retro singing performance. Then, the girls dazzled on some songs and made the event go filled with zeal and enthusiasm. We expressed gratitude to each and everyone for making this event a great success. The program was wrapped up by the feedback of Judges and Crowning Ceremony of Ms. Fresher. The Miss Freshers’ tag was awarded to Vaishnavi Kumari (UG sem 1). The event was coordinated by the student anchors, Kritika and Bhavya.
This event was full of explorations and an opportunity to adventure to our talents. Dr. Kavita Verma, Head, Department of Physics facilitated us with this wonderful opportunity to be a part of this event.
