The Power of Legal Literacy: Protecting yourself and Others
On 28th August,2024, Department of Geography, Patna Women’s College, Autonomous, organized a Guest lecture under the initiative of “PWC Alumni Connect” Programme. The topic of presentation was ‘The Power of Legal Literacy: Protecting yourself and Others’. The guest speaker was Dr. Iti Suman, Advocate, Patna High Court, Central Govt. Counsel. She is an alumna of Department of Geography, Patna Women’s College of 1995-98 batch. She sensitized the students on the importance of awareness of legal rights and explained that a safe workplace is a woman’s legal right to equal protection under the law to live a life free from discrimination on any ground and to protection of life and personal liberty. The session provided insight to students about their legal rights and conducts. The Programme was moderated by Ms. Meenakshi Mishra, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography.
