Training Program on
“Arduino Programming using Arduino UNO Kit and Various Sensors”
Date: 11-07-2019 to 27-07-2019
Organised by: Department of Computer Applications (BCA), Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University
Beneficiaries: 78
Experts involved: Mr. Rohit Singh, Electrical and Electronics Department, NSIT, Patna
Brief Report:
Hands-on-training was held on Arduino Programming hardware and software implementation both. The students of Semester III, Department of Computer Applications (BCA) were given training on Arduino UNO kit. Its architecture was described to students. They were given practical training to assemble the Arduino UNO kit with jumper cables and LED to blink the LED individually and in series. They were trained how to set the buzzer to beep after a certain amount of time and LED is blinked by giving a certain condition. Then, an Ultrasonic sensor is demonstrated by setting the Buzzer to sound when an obstacle comes closer than a certain distance. After that PIR motion detector was demonstrated. This senses the motion and then responds accordingly. And then a Soil Moisture sensor was demonstrated which is useful in agriculture. It senses the moisture level of soil and starts irrigation automatically when moisture in soil is decreased.
