Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) Patna University, DISHA: Competitive Examination Guidance Cell organised UPSC/BPSC Career Guidance Seminar in collaboration with ALS IAS Academy. The session commenced with a soulful prayer song to seek the blessings of the Almighty. Followed by the welcome address given by Ms. Amrita Prakash, Coordinator DISHA and Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Application. Hon’ble Chief Guest Shri Sunil Kumar, Minister of Education; Distinguished Guest Shri Rajkumar Singh, MLA Matihani; and Chief Speaker Shri Manish K. Gautam, CEO ALS IAS, were felicitated by Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College. Distinguished Guest Shri Rajkumar Singh, MLA, Matihani, shared insights from his four-year tenure, highlighting his focus on development and education, which inspired aspiring civil servants. He was presented with a token of gratitude by Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College. Hon’ble Minister of Education, Shri Sunil Kumar, graced the event as Chief Guest and highlighted the crucial role of educational institutions in nation-building. He reaffirmed the government’s support for innovative learning. A memento was presented to him as a token of gratitude by Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College. The event’s Chief Speaker Shri Manish K. Gautam, CEO of ALS IAS, delivered an inspiring address on leadership, civil services, and youth aspirations, emphasizing the 4Ds—Dream, Determination, Discipline, and Direction. He was presented with a memento as a token of gratitude by Ms. Amrita Prakash, Coordinator DISHA and Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Application. A significant highlight of the event was the Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at institutional collaboration and capacity building, paving the way for enriched learning opportunities and career exposure for students of Patna Women’s College.The torch bearers of this signing were Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. , Principal, Patna Women’s College and Shri Manish K Gautam, Chief Executive Director, ALS IAS Academy.The event was moderated by Samiksha Raj , from Department of English, who is one of the first students to receive scholarship under this initiative. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. Nupur Sinha, Head, Department of Psychology. The event was a resounding success with the blessings of the Almighty and concluded with the National Anthem
