The Department of Home Science, in collaboration with the Zaika Cookery Club, organized a vibrant celebration of National Nutrition Month at B.J. Sullivan Hall, Patna Women’s College. The event commenced with a warm welcome extended to Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College, and Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Vice-Principal and Head of the Department of Home Science. Dr. Rosy Kumari, Assistant Professor in the Department of Home Science, greeted the attendees, underscoring the importance of nutrition and the adoption of healthy lifestyle practices.

On September 4th, 2024, a preliminary session took place, with 141 students registering for the event. From this group, the top 15 finalists were selected to compete in the final round on September 26th, 2024. The quiz competition comprised five stimulating rounds:
1. Myth Busting
2. Guessing Game
3. Visual Identification
4. Rapid Fire
5. Think Different

In addition to the quiz, the audience enjoyed engaging with a series of nutritious riddles, adding a lively and interactive component to the event. A special audience engagement session allowed participants to actively contribute their insights.

Ritika Singh, Safiqua Salman, and Muskan Rani secured the first position, Aditi Chauhan, Sada Nizami, and Namat secured the second place and the third position was secured by Riya Kumari, Srishti Suman, and Aishwarya Laxmi.

Faculty members from the Department of Home Science and other participants from Patna Women’s College were present to support the finalists. The event concluded with insightful remarks and recommendations from the Vice-Principal, followed by the announcement of the eagerly awaited results.
