Vigyan Utsav 2025 celebrations
As part of the dynamic Vigyan Utsav 2025 celebrations, the Department of Botany Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) proudly hosted the Inter-College Competition-cum-Exhibition, “Herbify Life: Nourish and Flourish with Herbs,” on February 27th, from 10:00 am onwards at the Open Air Stage Hall.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 17 groups, each meticulously crafting and presenting herbal products that embodied the essence of natural wellness. The herbal products including innovative formulations for conditioners, lip balms, soaps, shampoos, face creams, hair serums, hair oils, and food coloring, each accompanied by detailed methodologies and ingredient lists, were evaluated by esteemed judges, Dr. Ritu Narayan, Assistant Professor, L. N. Mishra Institute, Patna, Ms. Geetanjali Choudhary, Assistant Professor, Department of Fashion Designing, and Dr. Pallavi Ambreesh Kumar, Head, Department of BBA, Patna Women’s College.
The first position was secured by Annet Anand and Priyumbada of department of Microbiology, Patna Women’s College for their product, “Earthytints: Colours for Earth.” Akanksha Singh and Savitri Kumari of department of Mathematics, Patna Women’s College secured second position for their natural soap, while Minni Kumari, Palak Sinha, and Priya Singh of department of Botany, Patna Women’s College clinched the third position for their organic hair serum and compelling tagline, “Floravida: The poetry of Nature written in hair.”
The event was meticulously coordinated by Dr. Hena Naz and Dr. Anjana Verma, Assistant Professors, Department of Botany. Their collective vision and dedication ensured a smooth and enriching experience for all attendees. The event’s proceedings were gracefully moderated by Rishika Rathore, a student of Botany Sem IV.
“Herbify Life” not only celebrated the therapeutic potential of herbs but also fostered a spirit of interdisciplinary collaboration and entrepreneurial thinking among the students. It served as a powerful reminder of the enduring relevance of traditional botanical knowledge in contemporary society,
