The Department of Physics conducted a webinar on Material Science and Nanotechnology on 12th July 2025 from 12.00pm . The resource person for the event was Dr. T. G. Meenakshi, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Physics, Government First Grade College, Kuvempu Nagar, Mysore, Karnataka. The welcome address was given by Dr. Amrita, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Patna Women’s College. The resource person explained about the research field of crystallography, which focuses on the arrangement and bonding of atoms in crystalline solids. She also highlighted the significance of X-ray Crystallography, work going on chromene derivatives, the role of crystallography in materials science, chemistry, biology, geology, and industrial applications. The Vote of Thanks was given by Dr. Lalit Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Patna Women’s College. All the faculty members of the department and undergraduate and postgraduate students attended the webinar.
