WORKSHOP on Bihar Diwas ‘Kalashari – 2025,
‘Srijan Club (Art and Craft Club ) Collaboration with Department of Fashion Designing, on the occasion of Bihar Diwas, the Srijan Club ( Art & Craft Club ) of Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) Patna University in collaboration with the Department of Fashion Designing organized ‘Kalashari – 2025’ a live demo cum workshop on folk arts of Bihar on 21st March 2025 on the occasion of Bihar Diwas 2025. The Honorable Principal, Dr. Sister M Rashmi AC, Principal, Patna Women’s College inaugurated the workshop with Lighting of the lamp and graced the event to encourage the efforts of the students. The essence of Folk art of Bihar was highlighted during this theme-based workshop ‘Unnat Bihar – Viksit Bihar’. The Students demonstrated different arts of Bihar including Madhubani painting, Tikuli art, Gudiya making, Paper mache, Bhojpuri painting, Manjusha painting, Terracotta work, Kashidakari, Sikki work, Lacquered art, Applique work and Sujni work of Bihar. Many faculties and students of various departments witnessed enthusiastically this live demo of crafts and painting.. The students got the opportunity to develop new designing and thought process for innovative design ideas in the field of folk art and craft. . It was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Geetanjali Choudhary, coordinator of Srijan club and Dr. Shemushi Madhu, H.O.D. , Dept. of Fashion Designing .All the faculty members Ms. Asha Pandey, Ms. Priyanka Singh, Dr. Purnima Roy and Ms. Vandana Sinha also helped the students to achieve excellence in the field of creative ideas.
