DISHA – Competitive Examination Guidance Cell of Patna Women’s College, Autonomous, Patna University, in collaboration with ALS IAS, New Delhi, organized a workshop on UPSC and BPSC Examinations on February 17, 2025.

The event was graced by Shri Rajkumar Singh, MLA, Matihani Constituency, Begusarai, as the Special Guest, while Mr. Manish K. Gautam, CEO, ALS IAS, New Delhi, was the Chief Speaker.

The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the esteemed dignitaries, including Shri Rajkumar Singh, Mr. Manish K. Gautam, Mr. Amiya Ranjan, and Ms. Amrita Prakash. This was followed by Advocate Sadique Aftab, Faculty of Law at ALS IAS and Lecturer at RPS College, presenting a memento to Ms. Amrita Prakash, Coordinator of DISHA and Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications (BCA). He also introduced the Special Guest and Chief Speaker to the audience.

Shri Rajkumar Singh inspired students with his address, emphasizing hard work, perseverance, passion, and goal-setting as key components of success. Mr. Manish K. Gautam acknowledged the efforts of Dr. Sister M. Rashmi AC, Principal, Patna Women’s College, and the DISHA coordinators. He elaborated on the competitive examination process and discussed his 4D Strategy – Dreams, Determination, Discipline, and Direction—outlining various stages of learning essential for aspirants.

The workshop was moderated by Varsha Shankar, Jt. General Secretary, Student Council 2024-25, and Advocate Sadique Aftab, Faculty of Law and Lecturer at RPS College. The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks, proposed by Ms. Amrita Prakash, coordinator DISHA and Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications (BCA).

The event proved to be an informative and motivational session for students aspiring for civil services, equipping them with insights into the preparation strategies and examination framework.
