‘WORLD BOOK DAY’ 2025
Central Library Patna Women’s College organized Quiz ‘TRIVIA LIBRARY’ on 26th April 2025 for teachers on ‘WORLD BOOK DAY’. The theme was ‘World Book Day, Library and Literature’. Teachers of various departments participated in the Quiz competition and other faculty members of the college also attended the event with all their hearts. The programme started with the college anthem which was sung by the Library staff of Patna Women’s College.
Moumita Adhikari, Librarian, Central Library, welcomed all the faculty members and participants of the quiz competition and shared the history and purpose of World Book Day.
The event brought together five enthusiastic groups who showcased their knowledge and team work. The participants showed keen interest in the quiz competition. The quiz was conducted by Library staff Md. Jahangir Alam, Chandan Kumari, Rachna, Madhav Kumar and Sushma Kumari. The quiz competition featured four rounds:
- The first round emphasizes on World Book Day.
- The second round focuses on Library.
- The third round was Audio Visual.
- The fourth round was based on Literature.
The Quiz competition winners are:
- First Place: Team B (Sagarika, Neha Kumari Gupta, Mr. Gaurav Saurabh from Commerce Department, Dr. Deepika Tiwari from English Department and Dr. Mukta Mrinalini from Psychology Department).
- Second Place: Team A (Dr. Bhawna Sinha from MCA Department, Dr. Shahla Rehana, Dr. Prabhat Jha from English Department, Dr. Deepa Srivastava from Hindi Department and Mr. Rajeev Ranjan from Zoology Department).
The other participants are:
- Team C: (Manisha Kumari, Nupur Shree, Dr. Farhat Jabin, Dr. Medha, Aradhna Kumari from Psychology Department).
- Team D: (Dr. Sapna Kumari, Dr. Neetu from Zoology Department, Dr. Jaya Philip from Microbiology Department and Ms. Hera Shaheen from Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Department).
- Team E: (Dr. Kumari Soni from BBA Department, Ms. Richa Priya, Dr. Kamalendra Kumar from Philosophy Department and Shahli Tabassum from Data Science & Analytics Department).
The Librarian proposed the vote of thanks. She extended thanks to the Principal, Patna Women’s College, all the faculty members, participants and Library staff of the college.
All the winners and participants were awarded e-certificates. The World Book Day celebration proved to be a successful event in promoting a love for reading.
