Day 1 : 10.03.2022
A Six-day RUSA sponsored Faculty Development Programme on ‘Capacity Building for IQAC Functioning and Accreditation Process’, organised by IQAC, Patna Women’s College was inaugurated on 10.03.2022. The Inaugural session started with the lighting of lamp and a welcome song by the students of the College. It was followed by the Presidential address by the Principal of the College, Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. and the address by the IQAC Co-ordinator, Dr. Amrita Chowdhury. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Prof. Ajay Kumar Singh, Pro- Vice Chancellor, Patna University who addressed the participants and stressed on the need of research and training. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Alok John, Assistant Co-ordinator, IQAC the Resource Person for the first day was Dr. Father Joseph Xavier S.J, Former Principal, Loyola College, Chennai who dealt with the first criterion of NAAC assessment, that is, curricular aspects in a detailed manner. He provided a step-by-step guide to go for NAAC Assessment and Accreditation. He also discussed the thrust areas of the New Education Policy (NEP) and its implication on the assessment and Accreditation process of the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The session was very informative and Interactive. The compere for today’s programme was Dr. Upasana Singh, Head, Department of Education, Patna Women’s College who conducted both the sessions smoothly.
Day 2 : 11.03.2022
In the second day, the FDP was conducted by renowned resource person Dr. Father Joseph Xavier S.J, Former Principal, Loyala College, Chennai. The topic of today’s first session lecture was ‘Curriculum Aspect’. In this session he gave extensive lecture on development and designing programme options and courses that are in tune with emerging national and global trends and relevant to the local needs. There should be diversity and academic flexibility. He also discussed on the key indicators of the Curricular aspects like Curriculum Design and Development, Academic flexibility, Curriculum Enrichment and feedback System.
The topic of second session of the FDP was ‘Teaching Learning and Evaluation’. He emphasized on Outcome Specific learning. He said that the teaching and learning process should be other centric rather than self-centric approach. There should be value addition in the teaching learning process by catering to student diversity, mentoring system, continuous and vivid evaluation process. To cater to students coming from different socio-economic background, we should design our teaching process catering to the needs of both advance and slow learners the Resource Person Dr. Father Joseph Xavier was felicitated by the Principal Sr. M. Day 3 : 12.03.2022
The third day of the FDP was conducted by eminent resource person Dr. B.S. Madhukar, Former NAAC Advisor, Bengaluru. The theme of today’s session was ‘Insights on IQAC Functioning and Related Issues’. In this session speaker emphasized on how to prepare ourselves for change. We need to institutionalize best practices in Higher Education Institutions. He mentioned it is need of the hour to bridge the gap of digital divide in the country. He also put stress on current scenario in higher education institutions and changing context which should be inculcated based on Context.
The theme of second session of the workshop was ‘Extract of Qualitative and Quantitative metrics. In the NAAC Metrics about 67 % weightage given to Quantitative metrics and 33% weightage is given to Qualitative metrics. He emphasized on bottom-up approach of teaching learning process. The confidence of students based on exposure level of the students. He also said that the teaching profession is the most fulfilling Profession.

Day 4 : 13.03.2022
The fourth day of the FDP was conducted by eminent resource person Dr. R.P. Pankaja, Principal SMK Fomra College of Arts and Science, Chennai. There were two sessions Research, Innovation and extension and Student Support and Progression.
In the first session the speaker said that our main focus should be on teaching and learning process which caters global needs.
The theme of the second session of the FDP was ‘Student Support and progression’. The speaker emphasized on holistic development of the students like understanding of social justice, Inclusive practices, value system by inculcating sports, Community services, cultural events.
The Resource Person Dr. R.P. Pankaja, Principal SMK Fomra College of Arts and Sciences, Chennai was felicitated by the Vice Principal Dr. Sr. M. Tanisha A.C with a memento.

Day 5 : 14.03.2022
The fifth day of the FDP was conducted by Prof. A. Joseph Dorairaj, School of English and Foreign Language, Gandhigram Rural Institute, Tamil Nadu.
The theme of the first session was Governance, Leadership and Management. The Professor explained that criteria six and seven are more Qualitative in nature than quantitative. He said that Institution should focus on both short-term plan and long-term plan vision.
The second session was based on the theme of Institutional values and best practices. He emphasized on creation differently abled friendly facilities in the Institution like braille signboard and books, audio books in the library. There should architecturally and attitudinally sensitive for differently abled students and teachers .
