A curricular photography field trip to Rajgir
On February 17, 2025, the Department of Communicative English and Media Studies conducted a curricular photography field trip to Rajgir. Led by Dr. Tauseef Hassan, Head of the Department, and Ms. Runa, faculty member, There were 21 students from semester IV and VI and the trip provided students with experiential learning in artistic and technical photography.
The itinerary included the Viswa Shanti Stupa, featuring representations of the four major life events of Lord Buddha; the Sri Brahmi Kala Mandiram; and the Makhdum Kund. Students employed diverse photographic techniques, exploring varied perspectives and utilizing both camera and mobile devices. The assignment required students to operate photographic elements such as ISO, exposure, and shutter speed.
The department’s objective was to cultivate creative expression, enhance technical proficiency, and foster an appreciation for the cultural heritage of Rajgir.
