Brief Report:

Club activities serve as the catalyst to enhance students’ awareness, skills and expertise apart from the regular classes. The Science and Maths Club took the initiative to organize an AIDS Awareness Programme for the teacher trainees to educate them about terminal sickness. The Objectives of the programme were:

  • To learn about the signs and symptoms of AIDS
  • To build awareness about the causes of AIDS, the preventive measures, and right ways to cope with it and counsel patients.
  • To develop sensitivity towards the need to aware others about the highly degenerative illness, AIDS.

The resource person, Miss Sneha, Alumni of the Department comprehensively elaborated upon its causes, preventive measures, and right ways to cope with it and counsel patients to follow a satisfying and guilt-free lifestyle. The trainees had an interactive session where they cleared their doubts and apprehensions about the disease in a comfortable environment. The session proved to be very effective in imparting the right information to the trainees about the highly degenerative illness.
