Brief Report –

On 1st August, 2022 Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) proudly celebrated the Inaugural Ceremony of Azaadi Ki Goonj a 15-day programme, concluding the celebrations of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The programme was inaugurated with a bunch of balloons releasing to the sky, by the Principal, Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. The students depicted the message of “unity in diversity” by presenting the geographical map of India through human chain formation. A group song radiating the essence of patriotism was then performed along with a musical drama performance named “Safar Azaadi ka” portraying India’s struggle for Independence and honouring the sacrifice of our freedom fighters. The principal Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. then thanked the students and emphasized on the fact that though our nation is free from British rule, there is still a long way for us to be free from the cage of corruption and social evils. The programme was well coordinated by the Cultural Coordinators Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Head, Department of History, Ms. Samiksha Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology and Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas.
