Financial Awareness Programme

On 02.11.2023 , the Department of Commerce organised a Financial Awareness Programme for the first-year students of B.Com – Accounting and Finance

and B.Com – Commerce Professional , at 9.30 am in Gallery 301.

The Resource Person  was  Mr. Pratyush Bhaskar, NISM Certified SEBI SMART  Ready  Financial Trainer, Chief of Content, Raa Media Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai.

The session began with the Welcome Address  of Dr. Soofia Fatima, Dean, Faculty of Commerce. She highlighted on the importance of financial literacy and financial independence for actualising the empowerment of the young girls and women of Bihar.

The Resource  Person gave an  enriching and informative  presentation  on Savings,  Investment, Financial Planning, Financial Instruments and Career options in the financial sector. He focussed on real life examples and  instances to correlate the present situation of the economy  and its future prospects. The student’s inquisition and queries were answered by the resource person.

CS Shweta Shah, Co-ordinator, B.Com – Commerce Professional, delivered the vote of thanks and the programme  concluded with the National Anthem.

It was attended by around 150 participants. The teachers present in the Programmes were-

Ms. Kirti  Kamal, Ms. Puja, Ms. Sagarika, Ms.Neha, Mr. Gautam Saurabh, Ms. Nikky , Ms.Mona, Ms. Sohini Priya and Mr.  Anup Sharma.
