Brief Report –
Founder’s Day was celebrated at Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) on 23rd August 2022. The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp as a tribute to the Founder, Bishop B.J. Sullivan, S.J., followed by a captivating prayer dance performed by the students. The audience was then treated to thematic and folk dances that showcased the rich cultural heritage of the college. A mesmerizing dance drama depicting the struggles and triumphs of India’s 200 years of independence movement was also presented. Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal of Patna Women’s College, addressed the audience, acknowledging and highlighting the significant contributions of Bishop B.J. Sullivan, S.J., in the institution’s development. The esteemed guest of honor, Right Reverend Archbishop Sebastian Kallupura, extended his warm wishes on the occasion of Founder’s Day. He emphasized the pivotal role of youth in bringing about positive change in the country, emphasizing the importance of harmony and peace as espoused by all religions. The entire event was skillfully coordinated and supervised by the cultural coordinators, Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Ms. Samiksha Sinha, and Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas, ensuring its smooth execution and success.
