Brief Report –
Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) celebrates Carmel Feast every year on 16th July. This year the programme was organized on 15th July 2021 virtually and was streamed live on Patna Women’s College YouTube channel at 11:00 a.m. The programme was initiated with a solemn prayer. A video showcasing the History of Carmel was part of the stream. After which, a group song “On this day O beautiful mother” was presented by the students in the honour of Mother of Carmel. In the turbulent times of Covid-19, the students came forward with a skit ” Ek Umeed ” to inculcate courage in the students . Dr. Sister M Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College addressed the audience, sharing the history of Carmel and paid tribute to the patroness of Carmel. Vote of Thanks was proposed by Yashi Raj, Cultural Secretary, Student Council 2021-22. The event was coordinated by the Cultural Coordinators, Ms.Enakshi Dey Biswas, and Ms. Samiksha Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology. The entire event was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College.
