On 26th July 2023, the Department of Social Work organized Freshers’ Day to welcome their students of batch 2023-2025students who showed their creative talents with full Vigor and interest. The program started with a prayer song and was followed by a welcome dance and further various social issues poster presentation on ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao,’ and a skit ‘Transgender’ for spreading awareness regarding their struggles in society. They also exhibited their talents with song performances, group dance, poetry recitations, poster display etc. The chief guests of the programme were Dr. Vinita Priyadarshi, Head, Department of political science and Ms. Taniya Banerjee, Assistant Professor, Department of political science. Faculty members from community college and Social Work were also present. During the event, the students expressed their gratitude to Dr. Sr. M. Rashmi A.C., the Principal of Patna Women’s College, and Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., the Vice-Principal and Dr. Mridul Mishra, Head, Department of social work for their unwavering support and motivation throughout the programme. At last feedback was provided to the students for their wonderful executed programme by the chief guests Dr. Vinita Priyadarshi, Head, Department of political science and Ms. Taniya Banerjee, Assistant Professor, Department of political science and other faculty members. Vote of thanks was proposed by Sr. Sanjana A.C, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work where she thanked Almighty for the abundant blessing, Congratulated and appraised the students and appreciated the presence of the respected guests in the programme.
