The Department of Microbiology, Patna Women’s College, Autonomous, Patna University organised a Guest Lecture in collaboration with Little Flower Degree College, Uppal, Telangana in blended mode under MOU Activity on “Research Methodology in Microbial Nanotechnology” on 18th October 2024 in the Mother Veronica Excellence and Innovation Centre, Science block from 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. The resource person for the event was Dr Manoj Kumar, University Professor, Department of Microbiology, Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna. The program commenced with the welcome address delivered by Dr Jaya Philip, Head, Department of Microbiology, followed by the lecture by the Resource Person. The Guest lecture was attended by all the teachers and students of Department of Microbiology in offline mode and the teachers and students of Little Flower Degree College, Uppal, Telangana joining in online mode.In his lecture Dr Manoj Kumar discussed different methodology for Research on Microbial Nanotechnology. He highlighted the applications of carbon Nano Dots for ground breaking projects. The immense significance of Nano material in Medical diagnostics, therapeutics, Food industry and Environment were also explained highlighting the best practices, challenges and future directions. It was an interactive session which helped students in enhancing their knowledge on microbial nanotechnology. Overall the lecture was highly informative and engaging. In the end, Lalitha Sree from Little Flower Degree College, Telangana gave the Vote of thanks.
