Quiz competition on International Youth Day 2024 – “Clicks to progress”

The quiz competition was held to celebrate International Youth Day, aiming to highlight the role of youth, emphasizing the theme “clicks to progress” through a competitive quiz format. This programme was led by Hod Dr. Aarti kumari, Dr. Alok ranjan, Dr. Vivek raj, Dr. Premlata kumari from department of biotechnology. The competition featured 13 groups, in each group 3 contestants participated and comprised two rounds:
- Preliminary round: Multiple choice questions, specific answer questions.
- Final/ Stage round: Only 5 teams selected for final/ stage round.
Each round tested participants knowledge on topics related to awareness of youth. The quiz was moderated by Dr Alok ranjan with a panel of experts Hod Dr. Aarti kumari, Dr. Vivek raj, Dr. Premlata kumari serving as judges.
Results:
1st winner: Group A- Sonali bharti, Ojesvi rajhans and Nishu kumari
2nd winners were tied between group D and group I
Group D: Shagufta akhtar, Roquaiya jannat, Pallavi rani
Group I: Jaisy patel, Anu kumari, spuriya kumari
3rd winner: Group C- Anshu Rai, Nandini raj, Rahat anjum
Comparing was done by Janasheen Hassan and Sindhi sakshi. At last result was announced by Hod. Dr. Aarti kumari department of biotechnology.
Participants and audience members provided positive feedback regarding the organization and content of the quiz. The quiz competition successfully met its objectives by promoting awareness and engagement of youth. The event highlighted the importance of knowledge in addressing the role of youth and provided a valuable platform for young people to demonstrate their understanding and enthusiasm.
